Books have been very ill-served by the tech community. Don’t get me started on this. I’ve raged about it in prior blogs for years. So have other book people. I don’t want to see the same thing happen with VR photography.
Anyway, I’d like to see Nokia release a semi-pro version of the OZO. I don’t even care if it has a pricetag near a grand. Nokia does quality products. It’d be worth the price if they do it right.
If Nokia doesn’t jump on this, another company will — there are probably many in Shenzhen ramping up to do so — and they’ll find themselves competing in a crowded market where such a camera is seen as a commodity.
