Mr. Robot, Season Two, Episode Ten

There are just two quotes that matter in this episode.

And one screw-up by a normally spot-on series.

The quotes:

Is this the future I was fighting for? The system is hung, frozen in limbo. Did we lose the fight? Maybe wars aren’t meant to be won. Maybe they’re meant to be continuous. Maybe Ray had it right all along.

We can’t beat them. Trust me, I’ve tried. No matter what we do, we will always lose to them.

The unbelievable screw-up:

The slogan is Courtesy Professionalism Respect.

And, at post time, NYPD has a very different website header:

Season two is clearly a post-“revolution” arc. Like the book sequel to Dune, it’s far from satisfying for those who believe in The Cause.

But I’ve said it for years: Revolution is not for children.

The children are being shown what a failed overthrow can look like.

Will any lessons be learned?
