I knew nothing about this series. From a scant description I saw, I thought it would be an anthology show like The Twilight Zone.
It’s an episodic series.
A child psychologist …
… who suffered a psychotic break …
… returns home …
… where several murders of children happened in the 1980s, back when he was a kid too.
He believes a program called Castle Cove — a show that briefly aired contemporaneously with the slaughter — has a connection to the murders.
A show with puppets …
… but does the damn show even exist?
Something is up:
But all of this becomes confusing, with too-brief flashbacks that are disjointed and don’t make any damn sense.
And it’s one of those things where you have to wonder if what the main character is seeing is real or not — shades of Mr. Robot!
I intend to watch the second episode just to see if that clears up some things. But this isn’t something I can really recommend unless you’re in the mood for something weird and very confusing — or are interested to see how the puppets are used (I am).
