Sony Xperia XZ Premium: No Daydream VR?

ArsTechnica delivers some troubling news:

In the excitement, it slipped my mind that it’s not an AMOLED screen. That’s a Daydream certification requirement.

But who says it still couldn’t be used?  I would still buy it for VR! And if Google stupidly blocks it from Daydream, you can bet someone will devise a way to make it work. The Spice must flow!

  1. of course, google likes shitty PenTile, that makes any 1440p display even worse than cheap-ass 1080 IPS ones.
However, it is very simple to enable daydream via editing build.prop, so no worries

  2. Hi, I want it too and I’m sure someone on XDA will find a way to make it work :-)
