This is an Amazon Prime Video series:
Lukas Franke (Matthias Schweighöfer) finds himself a victim of a hacking attack, his online information altered to implicate him as having masterminded a cyber-attack on Berlin resulting in a city-wide blackout. Suspected as a terrorist, Lukas scrambles to find out why he’s been targeted, as even his family and friends begin to doubt his innocence. Also available in English.
Yeah, look, go with subtitles. Dubbings are usually awkward and the voices don’t match the actors.
I watched episode 1 today in broad daylight and it creeped the hell out of me.
It also gave me an epiphany.
In The Prisoner, a never-named secret agent is whisked off to a mysterious place called The Village. In a way, this reminded me of that. But why?
Then I got it.
And it then all hit me.
You needn’t be whisked away to The Village. It can exist at any time anywhere. The Village is being trapped in the mental constructs people have created about you.
Try getting the hell out of that one!
