Not coming to NYC after all.
I didn’t trust the models. I expected a turn off the east coast of Florida and then straight up to get NYC.
That didn’t happen.
What I wonder about is if people in Florida will be pissed over the evacuations. Not all of the dire forecasts came to pass. That’s the unpredictability of weather. What transpired was bad enough. How much worse would it have had to be to satisfy everyone?
Some people might come back to nothing. Some might come home to everything except electricity. Those coming back to nothing should be part of the next public service campaign to exhort people to evacuate when the next storm approaches — especially if they didn’t think their evacuation was necessary.
Good luck, Florida.
