I finally surfaced from watching YouTube long enough to trip over this great site I highly recommend: Electric Skateboard HQ.
He has three must-read posts:
The China Boards: A Comprehensive guide on Chinese Electric Skateboards. This is a great way to see which boards are the same under different brand names.
Kieran’s Meepo: The person, the board, the story. He doesn’t classify Meepo along with other Chinese electric skateboards and I agree.
The one reason that I chose Walnutt Spectra. It was spooky reading how his thinking virtually paralleled my own. But a video I saw entirely ruled out the Spectra Mini for me. That’ll be a separate post.
The site is located in Malaysia so don’t expect the writing to contain flawless English. The information, however, is solid and it’s clear he has the kind of fanaticism that wants him to know everything there is to know.
