JohnnyPa (or Johnny Dong) continues to incite insane jealousy in me. He’s just gotten in the new Sony battery for his modified belt-drive electric ELOS.

It’s his red ELOS that has the belt drive.
I want that. I want a belt-driven electric ELOS or belt-driven Ionpod and I want it to be red and I will name it Red Rover. For “Red Rover,” the apocryphal title of a never-made episode of The Prisoner where a Rover goes rogue and kills indiscriminately. Yeah.
I asked Johnny on YouTube:
Does the belt drive ELOS go faster than the hub drive one?
He replied:
The belt drive is faster than hub drive every much…I just use middle speed.
See? Hub drives might be the future, but I can wait on that. Give me that impressive oomph! of a belt drive.
