An Indescribably Dark Place

I never watched Anthony Bourdain’s TV series. I saw the CNN promos. I knew his name. I didn’t know anything else about him, really.

The following interview is very surprising. At one time, he was deeply addicted to drugs and drowning in debt. But even in that situation, as he says in the interview, he managed to hold on and go on. So for him to have committed suicide this week surrounded by all the good things he had, he must have been in an indescribably dark place. One that he believed was even worse than his past days.
