Netflix’s Cash-Fueled Road to Streaming Dominance [if paywalled, use Firefox Reader View to bypass]

$18.6 billion.

That’s the amount Netflix has committed to spending on content, including many series that won’t show up on the service for months or even more than a year, like new seasons of “The Crown” and “Stranger Things” and the much-anticipated lineup from the super producer Shonda Rhimes.

It’s also far more than what traditional players like the Walt Disney Company, HBO or NBCUniversal generally spend on entertainment.

There is already Too Much.

I saw in a YouTube video that when supply becomes infinite, its value sinks to zero. Economics says such a thing is impossible. Economics must think attention is also infinite. Economics, as usual, has nothing to do with the real world human beings live in.
