The History Of Segway

Segway was supposed to change the world. Two decades later, it just might

I was there when it debuted on Good Morning America. They were holding a demo nearby, in Bryant Park. That’s where I was waiting to pounce.

I was able to beg a test ride.

It. Was. Freaking. Amazing.

You know all those nighttime dreams you have of flying like a superhero?

It was like that.

It was like flying while awake!

It was well ahead of its time and faced bitter opposition from the same kind of pinheads who oppose Alt-Wheels — eScooters, eSkateboards, eUnicycles, and others — today. Nearly twenty years(!) later, you would have hoped all those backward bastards would be rotting under the dirt and Alt-Wheels would be welcomed everywhere.

Not yet. But Alt-Wheels will win.
