The War On Sanity

In America, talk turns to something unspoken for 150 years: Civil war

At a moment when the country has never seemed angrier, two political commentators from opposite sides of the divide concurred last week on one point, nearly unthinkable until recently: The country is on the verge of “civil war.”

Any “civil war” will be between opposing minority factions.

Most Americans don’t feel overtly threatened by the course of the nation, no matter how much people lambast Trump.

They lambasted every damn President before him too!

The only thing this kind of talk “accomplishes” is to unhinge those who are already hanging onto sanity by a weak thread. It unnerves them into thinking they can be a hero, or a savior, or even just a martyr, for a cause that doesn’t actually exist.

Stop it.
