“Plug And Play Labor”

YouTube Note: RT [the source of this video] is funded in whole or in part by the Russian government.

Although I tracked the economic disaster of 2008 as it was taking place, I mostly stopped after that year. That means I wound up blinding myself to its full ramifications. Only now, close to eleven years later, am I finding out.

And it’s scaring the shit out of me. My eyes have been opened to an entirely new level of Doom. It’s all worse than I ever thought or even could have ever imagined.

But I’m getting ahead of myself. This will be a future post.

In the meantime, here’s some part of it I didn’t know about until today:

On Contact: America’s Elderly Itinerant Workforce with Jessica Bruder

“Weaponized positive psychology.” My god.

I must also note that it’s not just RVs. People are living in customized vans. I’ve seen too many of these videos on YouTube over the past several weeks and they are uniformly depressing, no matter how cheery a spin the video makers tried to put on it. For one: A life without any pets? Second: Your “house” can be towed away and impounded! Third: No permanent, fixed address for mail (now we really know why there are Amazon Lockers!). That’s a life?
