Lower Manhattan, Saturday. I see cops all over the place.
I wondered what was going on but figured it was some sort of drill. Groups of cops seem to pop up at places randomly these days.
Then I got to the ferry terminal and saw the terrible news on CNN about the shooting at a California synagogue.
And … a nineteen-year-old did it?
To say I don’t understand this would be a massive understatement.
Here’s his warped manifesto. There is nothing in it that’s his own thinking. He’s done nothing but spew what others have fed to him.

How many others are out there thinking they can be a “hero” in a similar fashion? There is nothing heroic in the premeditated cold-blooded murder of innocent people. There is no honor nor glory in it. It’s disgraceful.
