I haven’t abandoned eScooters here entirely. It’s just the field is near-dead and the people making them are such Ferengi bastards who won’t engage in any sensible or honest information exchange.
So it’s up to someone like Chris at TechTablets to bring some eScooter news to this joint with a review of the Ninebot/Segway KickScooter ES-1.
First, the obligatory screensnaps!
There is an app:
It’s crashy and annoying but I wish every damn personal electric transport — side-eyes eSkateboards — had one.
He drives it over some helltastic surfaces. Spain really has wheel-hostile surfaces. I cringe thinking of how these surfaces would quickly destroy eSkateboards.
Ah, this shot looks so nice …
Very interesting slope test:
I wonder how many eSkateboards would do as well?
If NYCEWheels were to ever sell this, I’d soon see it all over NYC. It’s less industrial looking than the E-TWOW/Uscooters they stock. This is an eScooter for Soccer Moms and Mr. Moms. I’d see this on the lower Manhattan bike path with the kids on kickscooters. That kind of popularity — especially among the rich — would help to change the idiotic law.
